But you, dear friends: build each other up on the foundation of your most holy faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, keep each other in the love of God, wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will give you eternal life.”
Jude 1:20-21 CEB
This past weekend I helped host and formulate an event for a group of women interested in learning how to create and manage goals in their lives. For lack of a better word it was amazing! I loved every aspect of it from the introduction to the activities.
Some of these women met for the first time. Strangers all with the same mindset to have a great time and receive and give off nothing but positive vibes.
The first sentence in this verse says to “build each other up”. To build is to start a foundation or a framework. Like a house or a relationship. It all needs work and perseverance and strength. It also needs assistance! You can’t build a house by yourself, nor can you commit to a successful relationship without your partner willing to work with you.
I say this for you to understand that everyone somewhere needs a little help and sometimes you don’t even know that God has already giving you the power to help them.
I joke with my friends and say I am the “plug”; meaning I have a lot of connections that I never even knew I had. When someone needs assistance 8/10 times I probably can help. Definitely a gift and a curse but I take it with stride. This is a blessing that I cannot fight and am actual eager to nurture and watch grow. I do feel if we can unify and work together anything in the world is possible. As this world and society continues to change..we should be learning to come together and build each other up as one. #ThePlug #BuildUp #Unity❤️
